Aberystwyth Angling Association offers both the expert and novice game fisher exciting sport in some of the most unspoilt and scenic countryside in Wales.
Fish for native brown trout on one of our nine lakes, using fly, spinner or worm.
Each lake has individual rules so please check out the lakes page and the lake you want to fish.
We offer individual permits, husband and wife as well as youth* and concessionary.
A valid Environment Agency Licence must be shown prior to purchasing any Permit and obtaining local/concessionary rates.
Permits must be obtained before fishing; they are not available bankside.
A copy of the Fishery Rules is handed out with each permit and are downloadable here.
Permits are not transferable and must be produced when asked for by any member of the Association.
Anglers without a valid permit orl Licence will be asked to leave the fishery.
A river only permit is unfortunately no longer available.

WARNING: THE RIVER RHEIDOL IS SUBJECT TO RAPID FLUCTUATIONS IN LEVEL AND PARTICULAR CARE MUST BE EXCERCISED.
IN ADDITION, ANGLERS MAKING USE OF THE BOATS PROVIDED BY THE ASSOCIATION SHOULD TAKE ESPECIAL CARE WHILST AFLOAT, AND MUST ALWAYS WEAR LIFE JACKETS AS AN AID TO SAFETY.
THE ASSOCIATION ALSO ADVISES ALL ANGLERS TO USE EYE PROTECTION.
*Youth is defined as being a secondary school pupil at the time of the Permit being issued. Primary school children go free.
Caravan occupiers are charged 65% of the visitor permit price. Discounted price season tickets only available to those staying in one of our caravans for a minimum of two weeks (Minimum - Local season permit prices).
Boat Keys may be available to Season ticket holders and caravan occupiers through the association Secretary at £85 plus £10 key deposit.
